04/28/12 - WE MADE IT, VERSION 2.0 and FINALLY FINISHED CODING, temporarily.

Husband and Wife team just thrown the duty of Leilani's Father's martial art school, So we are down to 1/2 a Wife and a Husband.

HUGE, HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to LEILANI for just receiving her 4TH DEGREE BLACK BELT in KARATE!

Well, I have to go build a NEW Leilani Lab work-table, we just got a huge first order as a Limited Liability Partnership and all proper and legal and such!!!! Huge cheers to ALL who have supported us until this BREAK-THROUGH MOMENT, We KNOW you love Leilani Natural Products lots!

04/20/12 - Only made it to 3am! but I got a lot done on the programming of credit card paypal buttons. we will accept credit cards hopefully by tomorrow. Then onto building our own shopping-cart for your ease, THOUGH YOU DON'T NEED A PAYPAL ACCT TO CHECKOUT with them.

Well, a cuppa tea and I am back at it. Cheers, TGIF, oh I forgot I work 7 days a week still.

04/19/12 - Back and have all the Federal and State forms filled out, paid and mailed... so back to the web site!! version ???, who knows now after ALL the changes.

I am currently coding a shopping cart and credit card capability, first using Paypal, then our own merchant account. Yes we will keep Paypal for those who prefer that. You DON'T NEED A PAYPAL ACCT TO PAY WITH A Credit Card! Then you are guaranteed even more security using your plastic! We HATE SPAM as much as you so we promise to NEVER share anything with ANYONE, unless they use torture or under court order:) Not much chance of the torture though, Leilani is 4th degree BLACK BELT! me, just a student of Ninjutsu.

We may have figured out the suppliers problem and have even received more stock of bottles, pumps, lids and blank stickers for me to print... getting tired of doing that, have I mentioned it before? bwah ha ha ha  ...Kingsley

04/10/12 - Well made it to 7am again!! but I was not stopping until this was finished!!! version 1.0 is done. YOU MAY ORDER WHAT YOU LIKE NOW! I am taking (later) today off. So be prepared, I am NOT answering my phone, email, text and I have eaten the carrier pigeon.

Now I will make it easier and easier for you to order, Paypal shopping cart first, that accepts all cards and you DON'T need a PayPal account. Then a merchant account and we will process our own transactions. A new web site, and info and videos and prizes and giveaways and... who knows what at this point in time. I feel like I just worked a 120+ hour week. Oh, I did, small business owners, thumbs up to all of you from me, Kingsley!

04/09/12 - 6:30am, still here... probably no one reading this anyway, I can't see through my eyes right now!! Last gulp of coffee to maybe make it another 20 minutes.

Didn't make it, but I gave it a good run. I am pretty close but after hours and hours of photoshop I don't think my Quality Control personality will do a job up to the Designer personality standards. Also Web personality still has to code all this together so it will be presented to you in a format other than 1's & 0's.

Not that it matters either, we are dealing with incompetence and on the verge of our "we'll call it a SOFT OPENING for now", we have no bottles and other goodies. But not a problem mate! Lab Tech personality can whip this stuff up now at super speed and can drop his hat while reaching for the shipping hat and "swish", right out the door. Quality is 1st, since I ran several commercial kitchens, the QC personality says "rather a day late than not perfect"... hmmm, the mind wanders when it is abused... a lack of sleep is a terrible thing to taste"  ...Kingsley

04/08/12 - ALMOST HAPPY BIRTHDAY NUMBER "ZERO" for LEILANI NATURAL... 0 candles

I saw 6am today, though that is when I was going to bed. Back at it this afternoon and here we go, for as long as it takes... "LEILANI NATURAL ~ SPRING CATALOG" will be ready for download on Leilani Natural.com

SO HERE IS THE LINE-UP... 25 item to begin with, with over a hundred already with part numbers and in our system. To read this grouped photo, just count the labels, look for the LN in the circle. Wherever you ever see that, that will be a product!

MY GUESSTIMATE is if I can make it through the night and have time to do the geek internet work as well, I will be uploading while you all are getting up. That is if everything goes according to plan, WHICH NEVER HAPPENS!!!!!!!! Well, at least you know for sure now that you will be able to order your Leilani's within a day or close.

04/05/12 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my MUM... ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ candles (I won't continue:)

Sorry we are not with you but since you are also still on your 50th Wedding Anniversary I know you don't want us kids around! Have a Happy Day.

I am burning the whole box of candles to get the catalog finished as we are being hounded by "awaiting customers" I guess that is a good thing, but our suppliers just let us down and now are hunting for replacements and if they are not the same exact size or shape... NEW LABELS "ARRRRRGH"... and to think I used live on a tropical island. ...Kingsley

03/29/12 - had to stop for a couple more orders!! thank you... complete and ready to ship, well, one is local!! As a matter of fact we have many Leilani products throughout Europe as I type.

Our Serum will be climbing Mt .Vesuvius while visiting Pompeii, Paris, London and next month Scotland.

I also have to stop writing these during early morning, or at least stop posting them until I can edit the next morning. Well guess what I am doing... yup, Labels!    :(...Kingsley

03/27/12 - Again, we are still at it!! ... Had to get our Summer garden plants started from seed so they will be ready.

We have added FOUR new products to the line-up. Thanks to Grandma for one, she needed an ALL NATURAL SHAMPOO, so we made one, awesome label if I don't say so myself.

Thank you all so much for your emails and support, I promise you will ALL be able to get your Leilani's really soon. Though some of you could not wait as we are still filling orders while we do all this office and computer work as well ...Kingsley

03/13/12 - AND THEN THE FLU CAME !! ... several days feeling like "ttthpllt" !! We would have preferred a holiday if we could not work.

So now we are back at it and are glad to share another email we received yesterday.

Thank you so much for your email. Well it was my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary recently. So as a gift to my Mum we added two new Facial Serums to the Leilani lineup; and presented her with the first of each item from the lab. We have been testing them for a little while and just moved them up in the order of new items.

So meet our new Serums... Leilani Natural - 'Timeless DMAE & MSM' and 'Rosehip & Hibiscus' Facial Serums I am working on the photos right now so I will post them next. Cheers to all !!! Glad to be back ...Kingsley

My Darling, Happy birthday, you are off at college teaching. I am here 'creating' the web site, ah but first, another order:) ok, back to work. I will be here until you get home and will then cook you a WONDERFUL meal! the kitchen is already spotless for your arrival, your sink is fixed, I have finished 'MANY' of your hunnie-do list items. 03/05/12 - TWO DAYS TO LEILANI'S BIRTHDAY!! ... and I am under her bathroom sink!! replacing the faucet or fixing a drip, whichever comes 1st. So I worked all weekend, you guessed it, LABELS! But came away the Victor; new labels designed and completed, old labels edited and a big order completed and is now waiting on the step to ship.

So when you order with Leilani Natural, know now, I will work through the night, through the sun and snow days to complete your order. Well gotta go lay on my back in the bathroom for a couple hours, at least now it is raining outside.

03/04/12 - The bane of my existence... LABELS!

If you know us, you know that I also have to do all the art and printing on stickers on our home printer for our containers. Not only that but I still hand cut EVERY LABEL for every product. And not just one for each type, it is one for EVERY product, including samples, requests from family and mock-ups, but especially "Correct & Current" for every new order. Then downstairs to package for shipping, making sure that each is properly packed, we have not had anything arrive broken to anyone.

So, I have been at labels since my last post 2 days ago. At least I only have a few more hours at it (i hope)and then back to THE WEB SITE, again. Even though it is a sunny and 45° outside, which is a heat wave for us in March.  ...Kingsley

03/02/12 - we have not been adding to the blog, but, don't worry... we have been working the whole time!! "As a matter of fact I am EO'ed out!" explanation; just made a large order for California and I have been breathing Essential Oils for hours. I SMELL WONDERFUL! but even with a mask you start to get a little lightheaded. We are still building our final "clean room" so the fans are not in yet.

But - a couple new products are being added to the "completed/ready-for-sale list", So I am back to coding the web site (finally, again) as soon as I program an eXcel inventory spreadsheet, hey I smell roses!    ...Kingsley

02/26/12 - INPRO BRIDAL FAIR !!! - version 1.39. Great seeing all of you who braved the snow-storm this Saturday for the INPRO Bridal Fair! You are dedicated to your soon-to-be spouse or your bridal business and we are all about BOTH of those things! (Well, we are already spousally-happy – but you catch my drift.)

I really enjoyed meeting you all…(I was the one in the pretty wedding dress from Art of Weddings Bridal) and hope you had a nice evening of relaxation after your day. I crashed pretty hard – only after a couple episodes of “Burn Notice” with the hubby. Wearing around a 20 lb dress for 5 hours takes some energy ; ) ! I guess that’s why brides are always trying to ‘get in shape’ for the big day.

02/23/12 - Filled a couple orders. web version 1.38E. I also created and maintain h2hctc So we had some "extremely important modifications to be made. Well a big part is that Leilani is also starting a "Women's American Self Defense" class. She is busy and is ALWAYS HELPING SOMEONE. Gotta love Leilani, "ok a bit of bias there"... Kingsley

02/21/12 - 04:06am PST. tthhpppllltttt!!! - version 1.38E. basically we have not touched the computers for a day, ok two. Now I am making "chits", double sided artwork to replace the traditional business card, which we ran out of. No excuse I know but we got slammed at the last show. Now, the only reason I am still up is of course there was an email awaiting us with an offer to share a colleague's booth at the Cd'A Resort, TOMORROW!!! So here I am, again, "King of the last minute", that is I save the day often!!

We also have shows on the 25th and 29th this month, little ones but hey, gotta work hard when you're a small biz, the odds are against us, but we promise to keep our quality and service exceptional!

So as it is Mum and Dad's 50th wedding anniversary some big things are going on. They popped in from out of town for a visit this weekend. It snowed and I popped popcorn from scratch; while Leilani, Mum and Dad watched a film, I was downstairs making dozens of Lip Gloss and Lip Balm, we all had a wonderful visit. 02/15/12 - Testimonials!!! - version 1.38C. Today I came across a file with family testimonials, so here it is from our Mums. (Though it is our from our Mothers, there is only a tiny bit of favoritism, because they would NOT LIE TO YOU), they KNOW LN products WORK! So here you go...

My thoughts after testing MANY products through my years.......
I have great contentment using the products of Leilani Naturals. Sun damaged, scaly seventy year old face skin became softer and smoother with nightly applications of 'Olive Night Cream'.

To start the day, only a micro amount of 'Rose Essence Facial Cleanser' is necessary to wash face, a very pleasing soft feeling! The Rose essential oils smell Wonderful!!!

The following light, smooth 'Rosehip and Hibiscus Facial Lotion' aids makeup application and combines well with my foundation.

The face cleans to a natural state at the end of the day with the face wash. a refreshing product.

Pleasant, effective hand creams are difficult to find, this is the ultimate! Soft creaminess smoothes to give soft non-greasy skin after application of of 'Body Butter Cream'. The ultimate test was the softening of my husband's seriously rough hands and elbows, and son's kangaroo hide feet.

Oh my gosh!  I just used my LN Shampoo for the 1st time and I love it!!  i don't know if it is the shampoo itself or the combination with the Cream Rinse but it has never been so shiny and thick looking--it was a breeze to comb out and dry.  I wasn't sure about the scent at first but now I feel like I'm walking in a rain forest each time I get a hint of hair scent.  I love it. 02/14/12 - Back at it 11:00am PST, version 1.38B. Ok a little slow but here we go. I have been perplexed in how the design we have created was going to work as a web site, without having to re-learn Adobe® Flash®, (sorry Adobe® I just don't have the time). And not being a programmer, I know a little html coding and I rock and roll on a WYSIWYG. So, while making some caffeine today I may have thought of a way to do it. Of course, I now have to sit and read the monitor to learn how to do it. So that kills my next 12 hours straight, with dog playing breaks of course. Please buy LN!!! I NEED a new chair, one of those fancy ones!! Kingsley

02/14/12 - 03:12am PST revised...HAPY VALENTINES DAY!!! - version 1.38A. a little tease with new photos though call us if you really need something. I predict the web site completed 02/22/12 2:22:22 pm pst, (but don't have a hissy if I miss my mark). Mum and Dad are visiting from Cali this weekend and we have 2 shows at the end of the month. So we have been getting calls for product, thank you folks, I wish we were finished, but, Leilani also teaches martial arts at the college, she was exhausted so it gave me a chance to sneak into the lab and make her a few never before seen products! Then, designed nice Valentines Day labels to go on them. Sometimes working is really fun, well no matter how much I gripe, I do love every minute of it! 02/13/12 - I know, had a bit of a learning curve, version 1.35. Since Leilani wants a web site that I was going to "eventually" build, I have to learn a lot of things just to make the site actually 'work'. Been sitting here reading for toooo long! I need a 'cuppa. Kingsley

02/09/12 - 11:15pm PST... version 1.32IV. So, I just got off the phone with my Mom who was thanking me profusely for the two …well, one-lip gloss she happened to receive in the mail (from her lovely, natural-lip-stuff-giving daughter ;). She got two, but she just happens to be a very sharing, caring lady. Mom began telling me this story where she was struggling with the shrink-wrap of her new gloss when a friend from work happened by and offered some assistance. The friend ripped off the wrapper and since she was then holding this prized possession, Mom asked her if she’d like to try it? The friend indulged, and was so enamored with this wonderful lip gloss that my Mother in her infinite generosity said, “Well, I got two, so you can have that one if you want”. As you can imagine, much excitement ensued, and now (I’m guessing) their lips feel very happy, healthy and ready for kisses, smiles and making that fishy-mouth face… which I often do when I have happy lips. Don’t knock it ‘til you try it man. 02/09/12 - Soooooooooooo close... version 1.28. Me and Leilani almost fell asleep at the computer last night, side by side, edit, edit, editing until we could NO longer see through our eyelashes. I am developing carpel tunnel syndrome. PLEASE BUY LN so I can go into the lab instead of spending 20 hours a day lashed to this stupid machine that is SUCKING THE LIFE OUT OF ME, oh well, you are worth it! Kingsley

02/07/12 - Still at it, still... version 1.25 now. Leilani and I have started this over 3 times now, BUT... we are finishing the FINAL DRAFT within minutes. Then I can build the whole site in no time, ah but 1st, new photos! Then program credit cards and WE ARE OPEN!! s o o n ! Kingsley

02/05/12 - Still at it... version 1.18 now. The sun came out so we all went hiking for an hour or so love having a mountain a mile down the street. It was so beautiful TO GET AWAY FROM THESE MACHINES! "serenity now"... the web site is looking great. Next we take photos of all the product for you to see. Don't you hate it when you click a "enlarge image link" to either see the same size image or maybe even smaller. You won't get that here, we have nothing to hide. Kingsley

02/01/12 - Good Morning Gang! HAPPY FEBRUARY! oh, hang on, our Aussie Shepherd is reminding me that I have not fed him, be right back... ok. GUESS WHAT? Leilani has made me start the web site from scratch!!! :( Just kidding... it was MY fault. I came in here to do some more work on the web site when a creative wave hit me. Four hours later... "Honey", I yelled, "come have a look at this and tell me what you think". You got it... REDO. But don't worry I am here and working but this time I am not going to estimate when it will be completed. It WILL get done!!! We will also be working on our store at ETSY.COM so you can shop while I get our site completed. Anyone tried to build your own site before? whew! Kingsley

01/30/12 - Another delay: taxes, business insurance, etc! I know, but the 'man' wants everything just so. I have been reading until my eyes bleed, then it is back to the... web site!!! But 1st, cut new labels I printed, place on products, photograph, PhotoShop®, then back to the web site. Kingsley

01/27/12 - Well we have changed our minds again! We built the quick web site and it is bad. I mean it all works but, we are serving fine dining and the web site was a paper bag. So, we got inspired and changed our web style, a little more color and fun. Our products are fantastic, we know for sure you won't mind waiting another week while I get into graphics design. 01/26/12 - HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY!! Compare the holiday to your 4th of July! But we are still here working anyway. We are having tonnes of fun today with images, so much so that it is still a little wait until we can "open for biz". I promise, only 16hr days in 'this' office! Kingsley
